On May 1, 2026, the Howe Area Chamber of Commerce inducted two members into the Howe Hall of Honor. . This year’s selection was Janie Finney, OB Powers, and Hap Sanford.

At the same event, Howe Metal Works was named the Howe Business of the Year. Kevin Crosson was named Norma J. Wallace Citizen of the Year. Chris Cane was named Jean Norman Volunteer of the Year and the Connections Park Board was named Volunteer Organization of the Year.
